Wed. March 10th: My Right Knee: UPDATE: I'm happy to say the surgery part of this ordeal is over with on (Tues. March 9th) Dr. Mark and the others did a great job. I'm home and resting. The knee is throbbing now that the meds have worn off, but in time the pain will subside. I have much rehab to do, but I'll take it easy. I so want to thank the many of you who prayed for me, sent emails and loved me. I so thank you and will give updates. Pray for my continual healing. I'm not out of the woods yet, but this is a step in the right direction!
Mission accomplished at Prince of Peace. Not quite sure how to put into words how blessed that mission was. I invited everyone to the mountaintop. We experienced the transfiguring glory of Jesus. Enormous crowds. I heard from a number of people that they received manifestations of God's presence in various ways. Everyone of us were touched in our journeying. The good people there purchased over $14,000 of my resources! Be assured of my prayers as you read and listen to my teachings in your Lenten journey. www.houstonpopcc.org
*My programs will also be airing on channel 43.5 (Christian TV) in Houston 4x a week.
*I will have programs on radio in Toronto, Canada soon. That includes: This Sunday at 1 pm EST: www.am530.ca
*I am a contributing author for the just released book: A Priest's Life: The Calling, the Cost, the Joy. By The Word Among Us Press.
****Because of the surgery, my Lenten mission in Slidell has been postponed to April 17-21st. Hope to see you then!!
****The mission in Broussard has to be postponed until Lent 2013. Sorry.
Lent is a season of grace. Now is the acceptable time. I pray that your Lenten journey is one filled with blessings and growth. Sunday's readings talk about bearing fruit. May your journey lend growth, healing and fruit. LENT
Priesthood: These words come from the late Cardinal Bernadin about the priesthood. Appropriate for this year for priests: "The priesthood is a passionate commitment, a fiery eyed vision, and an insatiable thirst for holiness and practical justice. The priest is called to be challenger, enabler, life giver, poet of life, music maker, dreamer of dreams. He must be a man of deep personal faith, conformed to Christ, a man who loves the Scriptures, draws sustenance from the sacramental life of the Church, and truly knows the community with and for whom he offers sacrifice. A priest is a man with a clear sense of his own self, one who strives to develop all his natural talents to the limit for the good of the Church. He is a man of unreasonable hopes and expectations, who takes seriously, for himself and others, the injunction to be perfect as the Heavenly Father is." From "A Priest's Life: The Calling the Cost and the Joy." The Word Among Us Press.
New book: I began writing "Seasons of Life" Dec. 15th. The writing is coming along wonderfully. I am working on my final chapter already. The words are flowing and this is going to be a powerful book!!
